Team—
I understand you all just wrapped up your meeting - I trust you’re as excited as I am with the good news. Last time I sent you all a note, I mentioned the following: “I believe in this group. You all are some of the most driven and innovative developers we have had the pleasure to partner with - and we’re eager for that relationship to persist.”
With your dedication and flexibility, especially over the past twelve months, you repeatedly show that.
The community feedback from last autumn’s Project ETHOS playtest was enlightening. It validated the promise of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had refinements needed. It revealed the necessity for a more distinct identity.
The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve advanced. You accepted the criticism to consideration and reimagined the title with a renewed direction - one that’s positioned to achieve its promise to our fans.
Our confidence in this project increases every day. To advance the remarkable progress you’ve made, I’m excited to introduce Ben Brinkman as the incoming Studio Head of the team. After several months of discussions, he starts with us on Monday, October 20.
His management and background in the competitive gaming genre is vast, having dedicated the last 15 years creating and managing some of the most well-known series in gaming, for example the acclaimed shooter, and most recently, the battle royale hit.
Let’s together in greeting him in the coming days. We are all looking forward to continue seeing the development of the game in the months to ahead.
David
