Major Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and applying restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets targeted the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

The strikes come after periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
